THE FUSION LIFESTYLE EVENT : Day 2

Hey! Hey! Heeeeeyyyyy!

We'll be continuing the review from part I. For the first part of this review, please check the previous post. And be sure to lemme know what you think oh!

Now, straight to it:

PINK FLAVOR MOCKTAILS

I’ve met vendors who make cocktails and mocktails on the side but Pink Flavor Mocktails specialises in just mocktails. For those who don’t know, a mocktail is basically, a non-alcoholic cocktail. It’s owned by Nonye Ubah and a basic flavour they employ is pineapple (which is also a personal favourite). They’ve got 15 flavours, e.g. the Pink Treasure, the Jess Twist and the Kiara; very flighty names I know.

Vier View: Delicious stuff! Not too keen on the names though, but the Chapman made up for whatever misgivings I might have had. A nice change from the usual coke and fanta. Try a mocktail instead, its only N1000. Yay!

CUPCAKE CUTIE

There are cake makers and there are cake makers. For me, Cupcake Cutie is a young veteran in the business, and she gets it right every time. Run by Uma Mohammed, the outfit caters to all sorts of events. Her cupcakes/cakes are nothing short of heavenly at . And to think she taught herself to bake using her brother as a guinea pig four years ago. Well, all is well that tastes well (in the end), right?

Vier View: You can never go wrong with tasty cupcakes at your event, especially if they cost only N5,000 per box. Yay all the way!

TIONNI'S

I’d all but left the BMO marquee when this little stall by the door showcasing African accessories caught my eye. Lovely purses, sandals, slippers, neck pieces and bangles all covered in eye-catching fabrics, created by Tionni (Ini Osong)! The purses cost only about N6,000 while her neckpieces start from about N3,500.

Vier View? Any dime spent at Tionni’s would be money well spent. Look for yourselves. I warn you though, in the excitement, it's easy to forget to actually try these things on for comfort before you leave. Got some at one of these fairs and still can't figure out what to do with them. A definite Yay from us.

THE ESSENTIAL BRIDAL HANDBOOK

Right next to Tionni’s was the booth for ‘The Essential Bridal Handbook’ by the extraordinary Funke Bucknor-Obruthe. From the covers to the glossy pages to high-quality pictures and bit by bit steps to making your event a success, it looks like Funke delivers! A quick peek shows the common items to be taken into account when preparing for your most special day, but even more so, the mundane aspects usually over-looked by couples: transportation, stress and timing amongst others. Why get so stressed out at the last minute when you could get a planner, right?

Vier View? Planning your wedding yourself can be such a hassle, if you can find one who won't charge an arm and a leg, please hire a planner. If not, well, Funke allows you to plan yourself, with help for just N6,000! Yay!

MAMA CASS/JAYDEN'S BAKERY/CITY OUTDOOR CATERERS

Tokunbo Oguchi was by far, my favourite vendor at the Fusion Lifestyle event. Her spirit and jovial nature was just amazing. Recently relocated from London where she ran the UK arm of Mama Cass, the popular cafeteria set up by her mother, Charis Onobowale (inspired by the singer, Mama Cass of Mamas and Papas), the cafeteria has fallen into her capable hands (that, as a matter of fact, hold a certificate from Barnet in the UK. She's also recently set up Jaden’s Bakery and City Outdoor caterers. Yes, they do everything!

Vier View? You don't really need my opinion on this, do you? I'm sure we've all tried Mama Cass at one point or the other (if you haven't you should try visiting one of the 11 branches in Lagos or 7 in Abuja). Great tasting food almost assures us of great service at any event. So? Yay!

Feast your eyes on some other vendors present at the event, and go ahead, email us for more details at ayeesha@vierevents.com or enquiries@vierevents.com. Or just drop a comment.

Any contributions? Have you used any of these vendors in the past? Share your experience.

We'll be back in a bit with more reviews!

Enjoy the rest of your week! Don't forget to celebrate something today!
