Two Gals and A Sale!

Rhoda Obi-Agiwe and Amokeye Ogar are the beautiful patrons of Le Rak Style, the result of a 2010 chance meeting of a civil servant and an entrepreneur.

The outfit caters for costumes for kid theme parties ranging from ₦10,000 per kid: beautiful and unique stuff, pleasant deviation from the usual tacky opportunities-for-adults-to-party get-togethers. They're the girls to go to for your little girl's princess outfit or your boy's Ben 10 party (roll your eyes all you want, you know you'll have to at one point or the other :P ).

In addition, they also run this splendid idea of a shopper's mixer in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt about 5 times a year. Their aim is to bring young people out in a nice, elegant, conducive environment, where you can relax, grab a drink and shop (no pressure, of course) outside of the whole club/house-party setting.

This edition was on the 26th of May, 2012 at the classy Auto Lounge in Wuse 2, Abuja with great music, cocktails on the house and cupcakes from Chloe's Cupcake Haven (yum!!!). You walk in and just want to grab a drink and feast your eyes. Guys? Come watch your girl spend that hard-earned money! (Yours or hers, they don't discriminate).

The mixer was on for most of the day and shoppers stormed the lounge with purses ready, immediately arming themselves with cakes and glasses from the bar. For me, however, an amazing and, I must add, quite colorful array of shoes were the first to catch my eye and with prices ranging from ₦8,000 to ₦15,000, it was easy to linger and try a few on (they even had stuff for me, and I'm a bloody size 4!).
They also had pretty dresses from ₦5,500, blouses from ₦4,500 and gorgeous accessories from ₦3,500.

These ladies are passionate about sending a message to encourage young entrepreneurs. Amazingly enough, this is what they do for fun (lucky girls right? I know!) So find what you love, and go all out! Just do it!

As a bit of charity, they assist upcoming clothing lines kick off their businesses with mixers like these. What better way to put your line out there that putting it in young people's faces, in a stylish way of course.

Vier View? It's the first of its kind I've heard about, and I think it's an awesome idea! If you seek a different spot for you and your friends, though not very often, would be a welcome change. So people, the next time you're in Abuja, Lagos or Port-harcourt and happen to hear about the Le Rak Style Mixer, be sure to show up and get something: such great items at amazing prices! Bring your friends too!
